Lush Cosmetics Haul

'A French Kiss'
'Ultra Violet Bubble Bar' - Soon to be discontinued :(
'The Comforter'
We all love a bit of Lush. And I am rather impartial to a bath filled with pampering goodies and all my friends and family know how much I love Lush. So having had my birthday fairly recently, I was given a large collection! Before this I was running pretty low, only having about half of a 'The Comforter' bubble bar.

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment - £3.95
Along with the 'Floating Island' this is described as a 'Bath Melt' and is one of my Lush staples. Whilst it's not one of the most exciting bath products, it softens and revitalises your skin so is perfect for a weekend pamper session! It contains almond oil which is supposed to leave your skin and hair looking smooth and hydrated. It smells absolutely beautiful and the smell lingers in your bathroom for a truly relaxing experience.

Floating Island - £4.35
Although this doesn't look as impressive as some of the other products available at Lush, it is one of my favourites. I've lost count how many times I have repurchased this! It is very aptly named as it is literally a 'floating island' and slowly melts away on the surface of the water. It doesn't create any bubbles or anything and isn't as exciting as some of the bath bombs, but it does release oils into your bath water leaving your skin super soft!

A French Kiss - £4.25
This is one that I have never tried before, my mum bought it for me for my birthday and I am so excited to try it! I'm not usually one for lavender scented things, it generally reminds me of an air fresher my dad used to buy. But I must say that this looks extremely impressive with the stick of dried lavender poking out the top. According to the Lush website it has recently been reformulated and is jam packed full of lavender goodness. I am yet to try it out, but have heard that it leaves your water a beautiful lavender (ha get it?) colour with mounds of white bubbles.

Ultra Violet Bubble Bar - £4.75
This was a first for me, and when in the shop the woman behind the counter said that it was being discontinued soon. So if you are wanting to try it, you better head to Lush ASAP! It smells absolutely beautiful and turns your bath water a deep shade of purple, which is soooo soothing. I had half in my bath today as a little Friday (or should I say FriYAY) treat and I smell incredible!

The Comforter - £4.75
Can you tell this one is my favourite from how many I have? I love the bubble bars as you can break them up and use them multiple times making them more economical than other Lush bath products! This one is my all time favourite, I've been using this for years and hopefully for many more to come! It turns the water a beautiful shade of bright pink and creates thousands of bubbles for you to relax in. If they ever discontinue this I will cry. A lot.

Recipe: Spiced Chicken Burrito Bowl with Coriander and Lime Rice

Hello everyone! So after scouring for recipes and dinner inspiration on Pinterest, I came across this and I've been enjoying making it (and eating it!) a lot recently so I thought I'd share it with you! I'm making mine with chicken but you could use whatever meat you like - beef steak, turkey, quorn?

In no particular order, you'll need:

The first things first, you'll need to create the marinade for the chicken - so in a large bowl, mix a good glug (extremely accurate measure there Charlotte) of olive oil with your taco seasoning mix, add the juice of 2 limes (or more/less if you choose) and add the chicken. With your hands, or a spoon if you don't like touching raw meat, coat the chicken in the marinade and cover and set aside for 15 minutes - 24 hours.

When you have set the chicken aside, you can start on the rice. I've used Tilda Easy Cook Long Grain Rice as I think it absorbs more of the flavouring, but you can use any long grained rice! Simply boil the kettle and cook the rice following the cooking instructions on the packet, then leave to cool.

Once your rice is on you can start chopping your veggies! I absolutely love most of the veggies in existence, but these are my favourites to go in this particular dish. If you don't like what I have used, feel free to swap and change as you please! :)

By the time you have chopped your veggies, the rice will have cooled slightly. Chop your coriander and stir it into the rice. You can use dried coriander if you wish, but the fresh tastes and looks so much better. Juice more limes into the rice and stir to make sure all the rice is flavoured.

Heat up a pan with a LITTLE oil (there is oil in the marinade remember!), and add in your chicken. Cook the chicken through and place in your bowl along with your rice and the salad!

If you want to be all 'Jamie Oliver' you can finish off the dish with a few leaves of coriander and a wedge of lime. Perfect!

Bon Appétit!
And as always, if you make this dish - remember to send me your photos on Twitter (@charrrroberts) or Instagram (@charlottesophiaroberts)!

OOTD: Feeling Fabulous In Floral

Top: Some brand on ASOS, Skirt: New Look, Shoes: ASOS, Bag: Carvela Kurt Geiger, Necklace: Miss Selfridge, Ring: ASOS, Earrings: C/O Orelia
Just as a little side note: I've started getting back on track with my fitness a lot recently and with that I've started feeling more confident. I hadn't even noticed any change in myself until I started taking OOTD photos. When downloading these (and a few terrible other) photos I noticed how my legs have started toning up again - I mean just look at dem calf muscles; especially the leg at the back in the first photo!!

Anyway on with the post!

I don't know what it is, but this summer I've really been into wearing skirts. They aren't something I tend to buy, but I have lost count with the amount I've bought this year! I've gone from having 0 to about 7 haha! I only bought this one from New Look the other week and I am absolutely in love with it! It's made from a lovely light jersey like material, and has an elasticated waist so it is super comfy -meaning it's perfect for this uncomfortably humid weather we've been having here in the UK. It has a gorgeous floral print on it, and as I'm sure you all know - I'm a sucker for anything floral.

When putting together my outfit, I came to realise that I do not own a plain white t-shirt! I have a black one (pictured), a pink one, a black one and yet another black one! So that has made it's way onto my giant wish list of clothes! This one is just a cheap one from a brand on ASOS but it is sooo comfy! If I can remember what brand it is (the label fell out ha) I will definitely be buying from them again!

I paired my outfit with my beloved Carvela by Kurt Geiger bag which I use most of the time when I go out. It's just big enough to fit my phone, my keys, a purse and a lipstick in - basically all the essentials without all the excess baggage! Plus I thought it went nicely with the colours in my skirt! I opted for my ASOS sliders as they are sooooo comfy and I was only going out for a meal, so nobody would see my feet under the table and comfort is key! I accessorised with some dainty little pieces (my fave!): my ring, which is a fairly recent purchase from ASOS, my earrings (the gold star ones seen here) which were kindly sent to me from Orelia and my necklace that I bought last summer from Miss Selfridge!

Thank you for reading lovelies!

10 Things I Would Tell My Younger Self

If you could go back in time and have a talk with a younger version of yourself, what would you say? Would you tell them what or what not to do? What's going to happen in the future? Or would you just tell them to carry on as they are? If I got to sit down with a younger version of myself, I think I would tell her to carry on as she is. She turns out all right and her experiences (even the bad ones) shape her into the strong, independent young woman she is today. I would however offer a few tips as I know she doesn't like big surprises!

1. First up, I'd tell her to bin the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse and move onto liquid foundations as soon as possible. I know that's a bit cliché, but I don't think I realised how bad it was for my skin. At the time I thought it was the 'bees knees' and used it for years.

2. A lot of people will tell you that you aren't good enough, that you can't do can't do something. And each and every time you will prove them all wrong. Like when your head of year in sixth form will say 'You won't be able to get into university as your grades won't be good enough', then you work your ass off and get offers from some of the best universities in the UK.

3. I know it seems cool to have everyone and their pet cat as friends on Facebook, but when you delete them in 2012 you will feel so much happier with yourself. All the judge people will just slip away into the background and after a while you won't even remember them.

4. When you know who questions why you like to wear cute dresses all the time, don't get upset and revert to wearing jeans and leggings all the time. Flaunt your dresses, it will save you a lot of self confidence issues in your late teens. #hatersgonnahate

5. At some point around your 16th birthday, the majority of your so called 'best friends' will stop talking to you for no apparent reason. This will hurt at first and to be completely honest it will bug you for years why they did it. But you need to learn that you are going to lose people, get your heart broken, feel alone and depressed sometimes. And remember, for every bad thing that happens, there is a good thing just waiting around the corner and from this you will develop some of the best friendships that you could ever dream of having.

6. Your first year of university won't be all that you expected. You won't get on with your flat mates or many other people for that matter, and you'll feel lonely a lot of the time. But don't drop out because you will develop a whole new level of independence and you will finish your first year a much better person. And remember, you have the bestest friends back home to run to if things go wrong.

7. Your blue mascara should go in the bin right now. In fact, don't even waste your money on it. It will NEVER look good on you. End of.

8. You can't please everyone so don't even bother trying. Just do what ever the hell you want when you want. Please yourself!

9. Never grow up - it's a trap. I know getting older gives you more responsibility. But there comes a point where you have so much responsibility you can't cope. Theres bills, student loans, rent, feeding yourself all sorts. Nobody told you that when you dreamed of being an adult so you could eat what you want and decide on your own bedtime.

10. And finally, don't get on at your mum so much. She works hard to support you and all you do is get on at her. Tell her you love her more often and help out once in a while.

What would you say to yourself if you had the chance?

Interiors: Dreamy Workspaces

(Images sourced via Pinterest)
Over the last couple of weeks I've really been getting into using Pinterest. I've had an account for years but never really understood the hype - now I use it for everything! One thing I've been using it for is for crushing on peoples houses and interior designs (like the ones pictured above), so when WeWork got in touch to ask if I'd like to share my dream workspace with you all, I was happy to get involved!

At the moment, I don't have a workspace or even a desk for that matter. I've just moved out of my first year university accommodation and decided I wanted to commute for the next year just to see how it goes. But this means that I've been left without a desk! Although at some point over the next few years, I'd really like to get my own flat/house and decorate it - and in order to this I've been seeking some inspiration.

I'm a true fan of simple, minimalistic style in all it's forms (from fashion to decor) and I love to stay organised so having plenty of storage is key. If I were to decorate my dream office, it would be painted in a nice neutral colour and offset with white furniture and plenty of accessories. My desk would be white with a complimentary chair in the same colour. My laptop or computer would be the main feature on my desk and around it I would fill my space with plants and flowers, trinkets, a cute lamp and simple art prints. Depending on the amount of space available, I would put up a few floating shelves to create extra storage and use them to prop up photos of friends and family.

Out of interest, how would you decorate your dream office?

OOTD: Leather and Lace

Dress: Next,  Jacket: ASOS, Bag: ASOS, Shoes: Missguided
Since all of my friends are finally home from uni for the summer, we decided to all meet up to celebrate my birthday! Stupidly I arranged it for the same day at The City Girls blogger event, but nevertheless, I had an amazing trip out! We decided to go to TGI Fridays because lets face it they have the best cocktails. I'm not even ashamed to say I had 3 - if only they were refills haha!

I treated myself to a full day of home-pampering - I gave myself a mani-pedi, had a Lush bath, did my eyebrows and even had a face mask or two! When it came to getting dressed, I threw on this GORGEOUS lace detail dress from Next. I only bought it a couple of weeks ago and I've already worn it about a dozen times (I love it so much that I even bought it in another colour!). It is made from a jersey material and is so soft and comfy it is unreal! As it was dropping cooler, I paired it with my ASOS leather jacket and ended up looking like an extreme badass!

Seeing as it's summer, I am making the most of the weather and wearing sandals with pretty much every single outfit. These particular beauties are from Missguided and they go with everything. They would even go with a bin bag if you would dare to wear one! Having a slightly wedged heel, they add a little extra something to an outfit whilst not making you look overdressed. Ideally, I would have finished off my look with a black shoulder bag - but I somehow don't own one! I own shoulder bag in pretty much every colour except black! So that is on my wish list now! I opted for my small ASOS tan satchel as it was big enough to fit my camera in. I didn't wear any jewellery other than my Pandora bracelet as my dress has quite a high neckline and is extremely detailed so I didn't want to detract from it.

I hope you all had a good evening last night whatever you were getting up to!
Thanks for reading as always!

100th Blog Post, 500 Followers and Confessions Of A Beauty Blogger

Hello lovelies! I can't quite believe it but this is my 100th blog post! I didn't really know what to write for this post, I thought about doing a 'Charlotte through the ages' sort of thing - sharing photos from my 19 years on earth. But with uni deadlines looming and working 5 days a week, I didn't have the time to sort through boxes of all my family albums. But then I hit 500 followers on Bloglovin' and this just seemed like the perfect idea for a post - letting you in on the behind the scenes secrets of being a blogger! Although if you are interested in seeing what I looked like as a child, let me know and I'll dig out some photos for my next post!

I write 99.9% of my blogposts sat in oversized band T-shirts and pyjama bottoms with my hair tied up in a messy bun - not with a full face of makeup on, wearing my best clothes
I swear that this isn't just me? Who would make that much effort to sit behind a computer screen! Unless I am shooting photos for a makeup look or outfit post, I am definitely sat at home looking like an absolute tramp.

I don't wash my makeup brushes regularly - sorry!
Truth be told, who can actually own up to washing their makeup brushes on a regular basis? I tend to go from one extreme to another - either washing them all the time or never washing them. Infact sometimes, I've just bought more brushes so I don't have to wash them as often!

I don't remove my nail polish when it chips
I'm one of those girls that loves to have shiny painted nails, but usually when my nail polish chips, I don't take it off until there's just a small blob in the centre of the nail haha!

My bedroom doesn't look like one of those flawless Pinterest posts
My bedroom is an absolute mess! The only area that looks reasonably tidy is my window ledge because that's where I take my blog post photos (although to get there you have to make it through my army style assault course of a bedroom).

I basically wear the same makeup all the time
Don't be expecting any different and exciting makeup tutorials from me - choosing a different shade of brown eyeshadow is as exciting as it gets for me. I have absolutely no idea how to even mix up my looks!

Blogging is incredibly hard work
Even when you're not sat writing a post, you're promoting your posts on social media, replying to emails, taking photos or brainstorming ideas. It often feels like a 24/7 job - I can honestly say that it sometimes gets on top of me and I tend to go a bit M.I.A.

So I've shared my secrets! Now it's your turn! Confess in the comments!
